What is Insert Nut?
Insert nut is also called “thread insert” or “fastening insert.” Insert nut is widely used as “fastening parts” for molding products whose materials are plastics or resin.
Usage Examples
“OA equipment,” “Light electric appliances,” “Communication equipment,” “Transport equipment,” “Aircraft parts,” etc.
Materials
Brass is used for the insert nut material. A main insert nut manufacturing company, Tokai Metal Industry Co.,Ltd., provides reasonable prices for brass insert nut.
Benefits of brass material
- Compared to iron, stainless, or aluminum, brass’s machinability is higher, and its cost is lower.
- Because of its higher heat conductivity, it is easily chargeable at thermal deposition, which leads to higher work efficiency and shorter working time.

Type
Insert nut is divided into two types, which are “After-molding Insert,” and “Molding Insert.”
“After-molding insert” has three types, which are “Expansion,” “Press Fit,” and “Thermocompression.”
